WHY PRAY? To have a personal relationship with God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit
How do we pray?
With a clean heart If I had cherished sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened; but God has surely listened and heard my voice in prayer. Praise be to God, who has not rejected my prayer or withheld His love from me. Psalm 66:18-20
With faith Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. Hebrews 11;1
In obedience If anyone obeys his word, God’s love is truly made complete in him. This is how we know we are in Him: Whoever claims to live in Him must walk as Jesus did. 1 John 2:5,6
In Jesus' name Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete. John 16:24
Pray with persistence Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find, knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives he who seeks finds and to him who knocks the door will be opened. Matthew 7:7,8
Pray according to the will of God This is the confidence we have in approaching God that if we ask anything according to his will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us whatever we ask we know that we have what we asked of him. 1John 5:14,15
